The local mockingbird is quite a scavenger with an outstanding sense of
nearby fresh water. Here one tries to get into a bottle left by our guide.
Floreana Island is home to a colony of flamingoes. This young one walked
right up to us.
The Galapagos is also home to the worlds northernmost native penguins,
some even slipping above the Equator. The ones there are smaller than their
Antarctic cousins.
