2001 "Cheap Shows"

January: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The real prize of this movie is the amazing cinematography.
Febuary: Ok, so that's what we get for eating before the film. 8 showed up for snacks, but there was so much cinematic apathy and tight schedules, we wound up not going to any movies after all. Maybe one person went to Hannibal, but I have no idea how it was.
March: The Mexican. I'll let JJ's words sum this one up: "That's the most guns I've ever seen in a chick flick!"
April: Along Came A Spider. You are in a maze of twisty plotlines - all alike. A fun ride.
May: A Knight's Tale. A peasant way to spend a couple hours. Huzzah!
June: A double dip of the eye candy Swordfish and the silly, either-you-get-it-or-you-don't Evolution.
July: The Score. A heist movie with great stage presence.
August: Rush Hour 2. Just what you'd expect from a sequel -- a lot of rehash, both for better and worse. The choreography of the fight sequences, meanwhile, is spellbinding.
September: The Musketeer. Quite disappointing. If you're really into horses, they steal the show.
October: Bandits. Mindless fun.
November: We weren't there, but the group went to K-PAX. Our guest-hostess called it "wonderful."
December: Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone. This enchanting film spells fun!
