1999 "Cheap Shows"

January: Waking Ned Devine. A delightful way to spend a couple hours.
February: Payback. Extremely senseless violence and nihilism.
March: Analyze This. Lots of laughs.
April: The Matrix. Some good ideas, but drawn out longer than necessary.
May: We were out of town, so no movie. But a group of us did see that Star Wars thing a few weeks later.
June: In the first half of our extended double-feature, we saw the often hilarious Election. The following week, we saw the enjoyable, amusing Notting Hill.
July: Wild Wild West. Ok, but didn't nearly live up to its hype.
August: The Sixth Sense. JJ was there, not me, but she said it was great.
September: Stir of Echoes. JJ was there once again without me, and she said it was a surprisingly decent sleeper.
October: Three Kings. An intense, unusual war film. We enjoyed it.
November: The Bone Collector. Dark and gruesome as expected, some thinness in the plot, but a good watch.
December: Toy Story 2. As clever as the first.
